Well at least according to the kids they are. They are actually having an in depth discussion about the hairiness of mice. Also what constitutes mice, versus mouse. They have settled that one is a mouse, and more then one are mice.
Of course it is like listening to a theological discussion, given how serious they were talking about mice. Then the conversation went to Tom and Jerry. How many cartoons there were, and if they had seen them all.
The seven year old, very calmly says--
"I have seen them all."
To which the six year old boy answers--
"Me too, how many are there?"
The seven year old says with great authority--
"Too many to count, that is how many!"
For whatever reason, this satisfies the six year old boy.
It is always surreal to hear them discuss theses things, as if they were talking about solutions to world hunger and peace! They crack me up, because they take it all so seriously. It is such a sweet and innocent quality that children have. It is too bad that as we get older, we lose this ability to be innocent and sweet, and that everything that we do, has some sort of undertone to it.
