The Twelve Whines of Christmas

This week the kids are out of school. So I will officially be nuts this week! In honor of that, I am going to make the twelve whines of Christmas, that I will no doubt hear this week!

On the first day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"She keeps touching me."
On the second day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"I am hunnnnngryyyyy."
On the third day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"I need something to drink."
On the fourth day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"They won't play with me."
On the fifth day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"He is taking all of the candy."
On the sixth day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"I don't wanna watch that movie."
On the seventh day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"I am bored."
On the eighth day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"Spenser is being mean."
On the ninth day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"We want a snack, even though we just ate lunch."
On the tenth day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"We have nothing to do."
On the eleventh day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"We don't like you, you are mean."
On the twelfth day of Christmas vacation, the kids whined to me
"We won't clean up."

I love the children, don't get me wrong, but come on, there are going to be conflicts during the day. Either between the kids themselves, or between the kids and me. I can assure you that at least once I will hear --
"He/she won't stop touching me, He/she is being mean, He/she won't play with me."
Then after I have fixed a good lunch, that no one will eat, except for the two year old, who will eat just about anything I will make, thank the lord, I will hear--
"I'm hungry, I want a snack, Me hungry, me want snackie, Me thirsty, me want drinkie." Followed by--
"I spilled it, only a little." Upon which, I will find a huge puddle of whatever it is I have given them.

I love the kids. I just know I will be nutters by the time they go back to school!

Ho, ho, ho. Merry Christmas.
