Basic Training Starts Today....

Starting today the Commander is back in town for a week whilst the inmates are out of school and on house arrest.

A quick recap for those who have no clue as to who I am talking about. I have an alter ego that comes out when needed. This alter ego is the Commander. When the kidlets have an extended school break is when the Commander comes out for a visit. Said kidlets therefore would be the inmates, because frankly they either act like lunatics that have escaped a mental institution, or lunatics that have escaped a prison. The inmates are ages 2,2,6,7,7. Yes I am often asked if I am insane. No I will not answer that. That would be like admitting that I like Velveeta. Ain't gonna happen in present company.

Anyway. Spring break is this week. Now as of yesterday, we were still having snow showers. Snow. At the end of March. So I have been hoping, for the love of everything that is holy, that we get some warm weather so I can take the inmates on outdoor expeditions. Turns out maybe Karma doesn't hate me so much after all. We are supposed to be in the 50's for the first day or two of the week, and then warm up to almost 70 by the end of the torture, I mean week. We will go to the park. They will wear themselves out. I may not be quite so batshit crazy by the end of the week.

So today, I will go through the house and get out the things they can play with, and hide the things that make way toooooo much noise. I will get down the play dough for the kitchen area when the babies sleep. The art supplies so they can be quietly creative--hahahahahaha-I know quiet and kid doesn't go together. I will probably go buy some outdoor chalk and bubble type stuff so they can play in the front yard, because the back has about 20 million pounds of dog crap from winter that my husband has yet to have a chance to pick up.

And sedatives. Must buy huge quantities of sedatives. Not for the kids mind you. For me, yeah for me, that's right.

So I will once again be on the front lines of the war on terror in the form of children. I hope to be able to post each day, and relay any happenings. Good, bad, indifferent. I may have to put the call out for reinforcements.

Yes the Commander is back. I will divide and conquer!
