No matter what one might think of them, we all see the photos these vultures take. I admit that I too like to see these photos. I like photos of the celebs in normal every day life. The mundane tasks everyone has to do. I like to see when celebs don't have perfect hair, or make up, or look like they just rolled out of bed. (Let me clarify now, I do not buy magazines, so technically I can say that I do not financially support this type of photography, even though like many others the pictures still interest some part of my brain.)
But there is a line that has been crossed, more so recently. These vultures, stalk their prey, no differently then the actual winged vultures. Unfortunately they also stalk the spouses of said celebs, and even more disturbing, the children.
I understand there is a huge market for this. Really I do. I understand it is human nature to be curious about what Celebrity A and Celebrity B's baby looks like. What I don't understand is why these snappers find it reasonable to taunt, stalk, and do things that are down right morally questionable.
Adults are better able to deal with the stress this type of situation causes. They can defend themselves. Children? Not so much.
Everyone is after the money shot, with not a care for what the ultimate price to get it will be. They don't seem to care that someone may get injured. They don't seem to care that someone may die because of the careless nature of the game.
I like to think of myself as a photographer of some talent, not trying to be overly complimentary to myself. I think I have an eye for things. I take photos because it is like an art form to me. I like to have certain emotions, or feelings conveyed through the camera lens.
Generally when I take photos, it is because I know it will make someone happy to have a memory captured for a life time. The rabid shutterbugs use photography as a sort of weapon. It is a sort of emotional warfare they have decided to become part of. It takes away from the meaning of a particular moment in time. It takes away from the happiness of a good memory, and adds to the grief of a bad memory. It is a permanent reminder of that moment, good, bad or indifferent.
Just my opinions. As always if ya don't like it, well I can't help ya!!
