You know when the phone rings early in the morning, or late at night, it isn't usually a good thing. At least in my experience it isn't.
This morning confirmed that yet again.
Rob's grandmother died this morning. For the past year her health has been declining. Well, really declining. For the past 10 years it has been going south. The past year it really went down hill. As in multiple hospitalizations, not being able to eat, etc. Then about 3 weeks ago, she had a G tube put in, because she couldn't stomach food. Then the hospital sent her home. Sigh.
We knew that we would be attending a summer funeral.
This morning, we found out we were right. Bad thing? Well besides death, was that Rob's mom, (grandma's daughter), was on her way back home from Michigan. She and Michelle and the kids, including Spenser went up there and stayed at a cabin. Today they came home. So we were faced with a choice to make, tell her before she drives 8 hours home, or wait until they get home.
Obviously we told her when she got home.
I am not sure when anything is planned for. Not looking forward to this week.
