What did you expect?

This is my opinion. Opinions are like bungholes, everyone has them, and not all are pretty. This is also a rant of stupid people. You have been warned./

What do you expect security/police/air marshals to do when you present them with a threat and refuse to back down?

Yesterday, on an American Airline plane, a passenger announced he had a bomb.
He was told to get down. He was told to drop his back pack. He didn't comply. He made threatening movements towards the air marshals. They shot him.

What the hell else were they supposed to do?

It is not as if we can afford to take chances that someone is just off their rocker. We can no longer give chance after chance for someone to comply. God forbid the air marshal(s) didn't stop him, then we would have people moaning about how dangerous that would have been.

The fucker didn't comply. End of story. I don't care if you are bipolar. I don't care if you are blue with yellow spots, and orange stripes. If you make a threat like that, and you don't comply, you deserve everything you get. I just don't get how people can be so completely stupid. Stupidity and mental illness is not an excuse to be an asshole who is threatening bodily harm to others.

Think back to 9-11-01. What would you have had the air marshals do? Sit there with their collective thumbs up their collective arses? I for one am glad they did what they did.

My mother was in the air on 9-11. I have never in my life been so afraid. I thought she was dead, or going to die. I do not ever want to go through that again, because we have people whining about correct use of force.

I don't want to be in a plane when some whack job decides it would be oh so much fun to threaten the entire plane with death. I don't want to be in the airport when a loved one is on a plane that said whack job is threatening. I don't want whack jobs to have the benefit of the doubt. If they don't comply, they die. End of story.

Same shit when people run from the police, because they were afraid they were going to be unfairly charged. What the hell do you think will happen when you run from the police? You think they will beg you to rethink it? Give you a time out? What about when you in the course of running happen to make a move that is perceived as a threat? Should the police then drop their guns, raise their eyes heavenward and pray outloud that you will come to your senses? Hell no.

It is common sense people. You do what is asked. You do not run. You do not threaten. You do not make menacing movements towards someone with a gun.
In short, you use your freakin brain. It is not in your head to weigh it down so it won't float away. In most people it actually serves a purpose.

Now of course we are going to get people whining how unfair it was that they shot this moron. How unfair it was that they didn't just let him rant and rave because he was ill. Give me a break. If it was someone next to you threatening you with the old time favorite of "let's turn people into confetti" you would damn sure want someone there to protect your ass.

Hey if you don't like my opinion, guess what? I don't care. Write your own damn blog so you can have your opinion out there. BTW, I am not a republican. Nor am I in favor of the freakin NRA, or any other group who normally claims to be protecting our rights, whilst actually taking them from us, or worse yet arming those nutters who have those beliefs.
I am a liberal. Love your fellow man/woman. Let those who are in love marry, no matter what the gender. Let women have the right to choose. Etc, and so on.
